Colkin de Varen

Colkin de Varen, birthname Nicol Beaudoin, is the seneschal of Tybault de Teviot, the current majordomo of Montclair. A Cleyran of few words and meager military talent, his administrative skills were noticed by the former majordomo Guillaume de Bruma when the latter was visiting the lands of his birth for the funeral of his younger brother. Guillaume died shortly after bringing Colkin to court and was succeeded by Tybault who appointed Colkin as seneschal on grounds of not wanting the title, but not the responsibilities of majordomo as Tybault prefers to stay in his homeland of Deira to fight in the Elven Wars. Consequently, Colkin is in charge of the affairs of the Winter Palace at Montclair, but due to his relative youth the administration is split between himself, Simon de Beaumont ( the king's youngest brother ), and Pierre Abelard.

Family

Colkin is the second son of the Robert de Varen, Six Viscount of Bellencombre and younger brother of Camric de Varen, Seventh Viscount of Bellencombre.
