Forgotten Realms

The Forgotten Realms, also called [[1]] after the most commonly used continent of [[2]] the primary planet of the setting, is the "official" setting used by Wizards of the Coast in their Dungeons & Dragons books, supplemental material, and brand extension. It is considered the default template by many who are new to fantasy TTRPGs, but is by no means the only setting even in official WOTC material. Still, as many of the common expectations of new players are probably shaped by Forgotten Realms to some extent it can be useful to make contrasts when something about Bomsil is very different.
